BREC-LSU-BRAS Highland Rd. Pk. Observatory - An educational and recreational astronomical observatory, open to the public. Operated jointly by the Baton Rouge Recreation & Parks Commission (BREC), Louisiana State University (LSU) Physics & Astronomy Dept. and the Baton Rouge Astronomical Society (BRAS).
Baton Rouge Astronomical Society - An organization of people sharing a common interest in amateur astronomy. BRAS is a partner with the Baton Rouge Rec & Parks Commission (BREC) and LSU in the Highland Road Park Observatory. BRAS also hosts the annual Kisatchie Star Party, near Natchitoches, LA and participates in the Deep South Regional Stargaze and the Mid-South Stargaze at French Camp Academy, French Camp, MS.
